AstraZeneca announced our comprehensive approach towards Sustainability developed in partnership with the Egyptian Government and health authorities to mitigate the environmental burden of healthcare, and support sustainability and resilience. It reflects our commitment to accelerate the delivery of actions on climate for the benefit of people, society, and the planet. Through our Green Hospital initiative, we aim to accelerate the delivery of net zero, patient-centric healthcare. This mega 20-beds field mobile solar green hospital is serving all COP27 visitors and beyond.

This award was granted during the AHDAF conference, where the Arab Hospitals Federation Awards recognize and honor distinguished personalities and healthcare organizations.

Response during COVID-19 pandemic
AstraZeneca, played a pivotal role in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating its commitment to scientific innovation and societal well-being. The company's unwavering support during this unprecedented crisis manifested in several crucial initiatives. AstraZeneca's most significant contribution was the development of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, a highly effective and widely accessible vaccine that played a critical role in curbing the spread of the virus and saving countless lives.
